Heat pumps have a central role to play in the decarbonisation of the heating sector, which is the largest energy sector. By utilising low-temperature environmental or process waste heat, these heat pumps constitute the most efficient method of providing heat from renewable electricity.
The variety of heat pump solutions available facilitates the creation of a wide range of combinations of source and heatsink temperatures. They are therefore of interest to energy suppliers, for district heating supply at medium temperatures (up to 105°C) as well as for steam generation in industry (up to 180°C). In addition to the widely used compression heat pumps, absorption heat pumps are also suitable for optimising existing CHP plants (combined heat and power plants) or industrial plants. In appropriate circumstances, they can also be used to achieve the most cost-efficient form of heat supply.
We view heat pumps as an elementary component of the heat transition process. As a general contractor, we can provide you with a comprehensive turnkey system, one that is customised to suit your needs. We can draw on an extensive range of products made by well-known heat pump manufacturers. These products cover the entire range of outputs, temperatures and refrigerants.
““The special appeal of the heat pump derives from the fact that previously lost waste heat is made usable. Thanks to its efficiency, the heat pump is particularly suitable for basic heat supply and is ideally supplemented with power-to-heat and heat storage to cover peak demand. For more than a decade, we at Kraftanlagen Energies Services have already been actively engaged in projects involving high-capacity heat pump. Thanks to our extensive experience in the planning and implementation stages of power plant construction, we are an experienced and capable partner for your heating solution”.”

The possible uses of a heat pump
The advantages of heat pumps:
- Highly-efficient heat generation with COPs 2.5 – 4.5
- Provision of heatsink temperatures of up to 180°C in various power classes from 1 MW
- Double benefit through the provision of cooling capacity, e.g. for data centres or electrolysis plants
- Increased energy efficiency in existing CHP plants and industry
Our services include:
- Setting up complete turnkey systems as an EPC:
- Project management
- In-house planning right from the initial concept study to the detailed planning stage for all technical disciplines
- Procurement of all components
- Installation, construction site management and commissioning
- Advice on how to obtain funding
- Greenfield projects or integration into existing systems
- Complex complete systems in conjunction with other technologies such as power-to-gas, power-to-heat or data centres
