Important milestone for the hydrogen production plant in Pfeffenhausen: After around 2 years of construction, the 5 MW plant in Pfeffenhausen has now started test operations and is successfully producing green, CO2-free hydrogen. The plant is expected to go into regular operation at the end of 2024.

Last Monday, in the presence of Hubert Aiwanger, Bavarian Minister of State for Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy, the first trailer filled with hydrogen was sent on its journey through the district of Munich at the site of the future hydrogen centre. The hydrogen from Pfeffenhausen will now be used to supply MVV’s regional buses with green energy via various hydrogen refuelling stations in the Munich and Ebersberg districts.

Renewable hydrogen is an important building block in the transformation of industry, mobility and the energy sector."
