As newly elected Chairman of the Plant Construction & Components Division, he will help determine the course of the industry association for four years.
his division represents the interests of companies involved in the project planning and realisation of plant engineering projects such as energy supply, process steam generation, the manufacture of plant components for the chemical and petrochemical industry and for environmental technology. “In order to meet the challenges of climate change, the energy and heat transition and the digital transformation in industry, strong partners are needed in the field of plant engineering and industrial services. For me, an intensive exchange about the latest technology, new developments, the development of technical standards as well as a joint presence are important success factors for our company and the industry. The VAIS with its large number of members is both a source of impetus and an interface,” said Alfons Weber, explaining his decision to volunteer for the VAIS in addition to his managing director activities at the Kraftanlagen Group.
The VAIS was formed last year through the merger of FDBR (plant construction), WVIS (industrial services) and SET (plant construction and industrial services).
