Health and safety

Safe workplaces and work processes are not achieved by chance. They result from conscious action, clear structures and a practised culture of safety. Our objective is to minimise risk and provide all workers with a secure working environment.

Because work safety concerns us all – ultimately to ensure a healthy and accident-free future! We pursue the ‘Zero Accident’ vision and believe that any accident can be avoided under the following premises:

1. Lead(er) in occupational safety

  • We conduct ourselves in a safe way and lead by example.
  • We take safety into account in our planning and decisions from the very beginning.

2. Training and onboarding

  • We only employ suitably qualified personnel. In addition, every employee undergoes initial training in occupational health and safety and environmental protection and also receives regular safety briefings.

3. Lessons learnt

  • We learn from mistakes – both our own and those of others. Accidents must not happen twice.

4. Cooperating with partners

  • Safety concerns us all. We ensure that all our employees as well as our customers, subcontractors and temporary workers are familiar with our safety guidelines and that these are implemented accordingly.

5. Safe and efficient implementation

  • Managers carry out risk assessments, in which they also determine the respective safety measures with the aid and support of occupational safety officers.
  • At the start of the working day, we advise our employees, temporary workers and service contractors about the safe performance of upcoming work.
  • We only deploy suitably qualified employees, who follow the safety measures and carry out the last minute risk assessment ‘LMRA’ at the workplace prior to starting work.
  • We only begin work where it can be carried out safely and stop work immediately in the event of imminent danger.
  • We are prepared for emergencies and have a safety organization structure in place.
  • We penalize infringements of our 12 golden work safety rules, our site regulations and project-specific customer requirements.

Our 12 golden work safety rules

Our 12 golden work safety rules offer clear and binding guidance to ensure a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.
